India vs West Indies, Indore (2011)
Next on the list is India’s 418/5 vs the Windies in 2011. Virender Sehwag’s record-breaking knock of 219(149 balls) helped India register their highest team total in ODI cricket. Though India hit only seven sixes in this innings, it still managed to put up a huge score 400+ at an incredible run rate of 8.36. The Windies lost quite comfortably by 153 runs as India won the 5-match ODI series in this match.

South Africa vs Zimbabwe, Potchefstroom (2006)
On 20th September 2006, South Africa put up a massive total of 418/5 against a rather weak bowling line-up of Zimbabwe at Potchefstroom. Mark Boucher’s explosive innings of 147 in just 68 balls won him the Man of the Match award.

On 25th October 2015, South Africa thrashed India in the ODI series decider at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. They registered a gigantic total of 438/4 in 50 overs.
South Africa showcased a power-packed performance as three of their six batsmen scored centuries (De Kock-109 off 87 balls; Faf Du Plessis- 133 off 115 balls & AB De Villiers- 119 off 61 balls).
They scored a total of 58 boundaries (38 fours and 20 sixes) were scored out of which 11 sixes were hit by ‘Mr.360’, AB De Villiers himself. The Indian fans were devastated as their side lost the game by 214 runs.

On number 3 is Sri Lanka’s 443/9 against the Netherlands in the year 2006. Sri Lanka, with essential contributions of Sanath Jayasuriya (153 off 104 balls) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (117* off 78 balls) registered their highest total in ODIs.

England vs Pakistan, Nottingham (2016)
30th August 2016 when England registered a record-breaking total of 444/3 against Pakistan. This was then the highest team score in ODI cricket, which was made possible because of a breathtaking knock by Alex Hales (171 off just 122 balls).

England Smashed World Record 481-6 | England v Australia 3rd ODI 2018
England recorded the highest ODI total in cricketing history, as they scored 481/6 from their 50 overs in a One Day Match against Australia. They had in fact set the previous record of 444/3 vs Pakistan, passing that total by some distance. Bairstow and Alex Hales smashed 139 and 147 respectively, both taking only 92 balls to do so. Morgan then arrived to hit 50 off 21 balls, the fastest ever by an England player.
